Dave Milroy

Born: 1957

Dave Milroy was a great servant to Inverness Thistle at the centre of defence although when he was younger he had trials with Celtic as a striker.

Even with his defensive role Dave scored many goals for Inverness Thistle but probably the most fondly remembered by the Jags fans was the opening goal against Kilmarnock at Kingsmills Park in the 3rd round Scottish Cup tie in 1985.

At his prime Dave was regarded as one of the best defenders in the league and went on to prove that winning a complete set of northern medals.

He played his last game for Inverness Thistle against Lossiemouth in 1994 and has since had a number of coaching roles at Highland League clubs as well as a spell at Caledonian Thistle FC.
